DMeyeCare was founded in 2026 by Dr. Brian Meyer.   In 2014, Dr. Meyer was brought on to establish an optical department at Marimn Health in Plummer, ID.  In 2023, he helped establish a second eye clinic at Marias Health in Shelby, MT.  Working closely with primary care providers at these Federally Qualified Community Health Centers, he sees the gap in diabetic eye care. 

With the advancement in AI technology there is now automated equipment to close this gap.  His goal is to close the loop for providers and patients, to tackle this devastating disease.     

When diabetic patients are at their primary care physician for their annual physicals, I’m proposing using innovative artificial intelligence, FDA approved, retinal eye screenings.  When patients are getting their vitals, the nurse, CNA, or MA will screen the patient.  The camera is fully automatic and does not require dilation.  The generated AI report takes less than 1 minute and will let the provider know if the patient has more than mild diabetic retinopathy.
